Redacted History Month

Redacted History Month

What is redacted history month and what does that mean?

Redacted means to edit text for publication, to censor or obscure. The act of redacting is BLACKENING out text, removing vital information that gives context and hides the truth. Black History Month is “Redacted History Month”.

Redacted History Month is about declassifying the contributions & heritage/lineage of people who walk this earth carrying the title of their redaction, Black People.

To start here is an image of how the world of the west (Modern Day Americas North, Central and South) were segregated and classified based on how we naturally loved and lived in harmony with one another with the exception of showcasing our Twin Spirit families. (more on LGBTQ Twin Spirits traditions later.)

Black people were not always “Black” in the history of the United States at least, people indigenous to the land have been renamed, reclassified and redacted. In the modern media names or titles have shifted from Indian or Indigenous Man to slave, free man, colored, negro, nigger, black, african, afro and back to black. However, in old media you can see the names and titles of 16 different classifications based how humans chose (or were assigned) to live and love and build the next iterations of humanity.

Redacted History Month is about acknowledging that Black people have worn the label of Black because their tribal names have been redacted from censor logs.

Spanish Caste System of Americans

Redacted History Month is about acknowledging that Black people have worn the label of Black because their indigenous languages were made illegal to speak and redacted from their education.

Redacted History Month is about acknowledging that Black people have and are contributing to this WORLD despite their contributions improving the lives of humans all over the world in harmony with the contributions of other continents.

When Black people make songs of being gods giving gifts to the people to make life better and easier and more pleasurable one need not look any further than the documented anthropology the redacted files and stories of contributions yet to be discovered and still being redacted in real time.

Redacted means to edit text for publication, to censor or obscure. The act of redacting is blacking out text. Vital information that gives context and hides the truth. It is time to declassify the contributions of indigenous people labeled slaves or black and stop hyphenating us as afro dash. We are what is called today American. We are of the land we were born on, the culture we were raised in, the lineage our grandmothers told us we came from.
